Training on the new matrix system at our arena. This thing is a stagehand-geek's wet dream.

Huge graphics package, incredible quality (it's so much better than our old one we had to turn the brightness down to less than 50% until everyone gets used to it), and it practically holds your hand while you program it. I cannot WAIT until the first home game!
After that, it was "drive the boy around so he can run errands because he got paid today". Bank, clothes shopping, grocery shopping, gas for my car, dinner for the two of us. Dropped him off at work, came home and did a load of laundry while baking a few dozen cookies. Cleaned the bathroom and living room (I do NOT do the whole house at once, screw that), then hopped in the shower. Catching up online while my hair dries, then meeting him at the club where apparently there's a surprise waiting for me. I think I'm afraid...

Luck doesn't hurt either.

If you are going to take vit/min, please make sure to take with food and milk; at least food. Most are fat soluble. Be careful with the Vit E, don't take more than recommended as it (of all reg vit) well over ingested has pronounced bad effects.

like being peed out of you.
sorry, I haven't seen any bad effects, and I've asked many doctors about this. : shrug :
what don't I know? my vitamins have many hundreds and in some cases thousands of times the USRDA of each vitamin- I seem to be fine....

Look at a new set of ties for the jeep.. Wow way to much money. For a set of 35/12.5R15 Big Foot, Big O X/T's its 212.59 a tire. But its come with the lifetime unlimited millage warranty. As long as there is legal tread on the tire they replace it for free if its a hazard! What to do what to do?

After much dawdling and not feeling like getting out the door, I finally drove to Detroit for a weekend seminar. Now instead of helping out at the registration table (which had about 347 more people behind it than in front of it when I checked in) I'm in my room playing on free high speed internet and contemplating a shower. Why not...I haven't been out of town for a while, I'm going to enjoy it.

take a look at Kumho Venture MT tires. They work very well (well I can't comment on slickrock, as I've not done any) and are substantially less than that price.
A few years back I started buying my tires through the Internet. I also have a set of Tyrepliers and 18" tire levers. Manually changing tires is just NOT that difficult.

Attempted to get the wife's steering stablizer out of her Jeep. Damn stud is seized up but good. Even my big impact couldn't free it. Tripped to the LAPS and bought some PB Blaster. I'll blast it, smack it, blast it, repeat, for the next couple days till it pops out, then I'll replace it.
extracted the munged flexplate out of the Blazer. Hunted down my threadlock after killing the last bit of the tube I've been using for 6 months.
went on a "short ride around the neighborhood" on the KLR. Passed some of the guys from work on an outing on ATVs and dirtbikes. Followed them through the worst of it, only dropping my bike a few more times than the dirtbike guys- and I went through some stuff they wouldn't try (actually had mud up to my knees/over the front wheel at one point). not a bad showing from one with so little real offroad experience, if I do say so myself.
Came back home with the previously clean bike and rider now covered in mud, and me sporting a stupid grin.
Did some more research on my 5.7 diesel swap. It's about time to rent the bigger workshop and move all the engines to it and start ripping into one of them.
realized all over again that the internet is full of know-nothing "experts". I'm SOOO sick of people telling me the 5.7 Olds Diesel is a reworked gas motor. It is *not*. totally different block, heads, pistons, rods, etc. About the only commonality is the waterpump. Perhaps the oilpump as well. The problems they had back in the day were due to poor quality diesel and poor filtration installed on the motors.

got called into the office yesterdaqy-- well, got the call yesterday, to be there at 0800 instead of at the lab at 1100.
It's recompete time-- we have to re-bid, as a company, for the project we're on. Real in-depth team lead type of stuff. All the leads were there, and I was more or less thrown in the deep end.
I seemed to have treaded water and possibly even done a little swimming, pretty well, judging by the responses I got, and the fact I've not received any requests for clarification. We're all on call till tomorrow evening for clarification and the like.
now: researching a way to safeguard my rubber hoses for my transmission project. They have to pass within 2" of a hot exhaust pipe, and I don't want to take any chances.

Laundry. And more laundry. And MORE laundry. How the bloody hell two people make so many dirty clothes is beyond me. I swear I just did it last week.
That's ok, though...the boy has to handle the dishes (we generate entirely too many of those also). I'd much rather deal with clothes.

Bailed on a loadout for the first time ever purely because I didn't want to do it. I'm still not sure how I feel about that.
However, in my defense...the venue has no loading dock, so we have to push everything up ramps outside. It's raining so hard I swear I just saw animals going by in pairs, plus we're under a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch. I am not particularly interested in dying this evening for some stupid band I've never heard of, especially when I have to be back at the same venue at 8am for another show. Screw it.
