I just finished installing my first Linux box. In fact, I am writing this post on it! I installed Mandrake 9.1 and I must admit it was a very friendly installer. The only glitch was there was no driver for the gigabit ethernet integrated on my motherboard so I had to install an older PCI card that it knew about.

Woke up at 3:30 <unusual to say that, since that's often when I go TO bed> and remembered I have a leftover bottle of that rubber chunk radiator sealant.

Hm- since the radiator's leaking and has the Jeep deadlined, it's worth a go...

Woke up and ate some Ramen.

Got everything in order for my next trip out of town on business, and had a talk with the tech liason on both sides of this project. Just checked in about my leave request since I am taking three and a half weeks off between 1 May and 15 July. Not counting the 29th and 30th of April....

... and what happens 29-30 April?

I fully expect that I'll check out of the hotel about noon on the 30th and then have to find some place to drink copious amounts of WTFU to clear the cobwebs from my brain... and even then won't be able to wipe the silly "I was at the Buffett show!!!" grin offa my face.

Researched companies and sent 2 unsolicited resumes and about to send a 3rd solicited resume.

Worked, checked up on a co-worker at the behest of the boss, found out co-worker is lying. Very bad. Fraud and theft.

Drove to Yorkshire, planned out anti-virus inplementation, waited for folk to go home and started sever installation. Left at 7pm, straight to resturant, nice dinner, back to hotel and crashed in front of the TV.

Woken up after being attacked by Harvey!! Nice! Went to work and found a scam email in my inbox!

So decide to take it easy......such nice morning! Then get cracking on some backlog...

Woke up and came to work - fixed a few pc's - now I'm having a coffee!!!

Took my social psych test today.

I've eaten a couple of times, but now I'm just waiting around while my online help compiles.

Went out for dinner with my inlaws.

Felt sorry for fubar!

Woke up and had to get to a test but my Dad insisted I work on his printer. Came home after 12 hours off school and being held 30 mins over in my last class only to be told to work on his damn printer. I have 2 test and a quiz on Thursday so I don't think that damn thing is going to get fixed. I already put in an hour on it. Damn problem isn't even listed on their website. <Growls in frustration>

Then the end of a bad day was I got an email informing me about another dream internship as a software engineer. <Crosses fingers> I hope one of the two pays off.

Went to work...exercised...saw a movie...ripped a CD...

If it's anything like the UK housing market; be prepared for stress, and lots of it.

Got up and can't be bother to rush to work......went anyway!

Finished off the bulk of my electrical mods to the Jeep last night. Only thing left for the time being is rock lights, rack lights, and backup lights- all of which need the corresponding structures to be built. Ohyeah, and the in-cabn winch controller. I've just gotta make a few crimps for that one.

Work.

I did my usual exercise regimen at the gym this morning. Plus, I have a couple of chores to get done before I head out.

And yes, its raining here as usual! Better than snow....thats fer sure!

Currently watching the Dodgers beat up the Mets in spring training.

Picked up my ticket for the Pompey v Arsenal game on Saturday night.
