Even with all the changes last year its STILL so predicatable, I will still watch it though.
Contemplating going to Silverstone to see it this year.
Bring on the rain, now that makes for a good race

Sheer bloodymindedness got me through 2002, last year was a little better but it's not what you'd call exciting racing. Another year of one dominant team (any team!) will just about kill off F1.
I wouldn't spend the large sum of money to see it live though. Went to see the Minardi Thunder at the Rock day last year so I can at least say I've seen an F1 car in action, but for good racing I go to Rockingham for the ASCAR oval racing and Santa Pod. Much cheaper and much more action.
watched the race...
damn that was dull
drank beer, gonna watch a proper race in 30 minutes, Jason, want to see a decent motor race, watch NASCAR.

And have been feeling stiff and nauseous.
Went to work for 8am
started work around 4pm
Went home at 6pm.
busy day in all

:D
Put in 3 hours and 30 minutes modifying a ASP page. Actually I took a page and made a new .cs file for some objects I wanted on the page. Added a new datagrid and methods to fill it(in the cs file). And put some new stored procedures and a new table into the database. Overall a very productive day.

After AceHigh brought up the CMI Database thanks to an UPS crapping out over the weekend, I had the wonderful task of fixing the UPS.
The batteries have been giving indication that they've been ready to fail for months, and Norm did nothing about it.
When I pulled open the UPS this morning, the 100A fuse between the backside of the battery connection had corroded to the point of failure - the battery had blown a seal, and vented some of its contents all over the inside of the UPS.
I showed it to Norm, and he produced the new batteries from under his desk and told me to 'have fun.'
So, I pulled the old batteries out (lead-acid, of course), and began the task of cleaning the vented acid. Picked up some baking soda from a store at lunchtime and filled a squirt bottle with the solution.
Cleaned the UPS and got an 'acid-peel' on my hands at the same time (quite literally) - no biggee... the baking soda neutralized it.
Put the UPS back together and took it back to the server room and put it back into position. It required 5 hours to charge, which means we can put the load back on it sometime tonight, but I'm sure Swings won't do it, so we'll catch it first thing in the morning.
Oh, and nothing from Norm. No, 'way to go,' 'thanks for changing the batteries I never got around to,' or 'Thanks for saving the government and our company $500+ by salvaging a valuable piece of equipment.'
So, instead of the 15 minutes it should've taken to change out the UPS batteries, I spent all day cleaning up a mess that Norm could've prevented 3 months ago when he received the new batteries.
Gawd I hate my job.

Had a fecking nightmare day at work, too much stress, everything too much and too fast enough. The pain was eased when I got home to find my dinner waiting and a cold beer freshly poured. Also recieved my NOFX tickets in the post along with a book and a CD that I'd given up hope of recieving.
I could use a few more beers and a blowjob though.

My God you have no idea. At least she sits next to me and talks to me all the time. Which is why I can't figure out why she's busy ALL freaken spring break. I asked her what she was doing for spring break before it started and she said she was looking forward to doing nothing. Then today she comes up with all this crap she has to do. Whatever. I'll just start looking for someone new to flirt with.

Women don't give out signs because they're too busy waiting for the guy to make a move.

If guys think they're getting signs...they'd better think again!!
I got a call from a guy I sent my resume to and he offered me an awesome job reverse engineering legacy software and redesigning it into object oriented software. This is and awesome opportunity. It's my number one place to work but I asked if I could say for sure in two weeks because I was waiting to hear back from my other resumes.
