Everything was fine at 3am when I got home and went to bed.... Now there's 4 inches of the freezing white stuff all over everything! ACK. So much for doing that yardwork I've been putting off til my day off...
Zim
At least you aren't trapped in your house by freezing rain. Everything is covered in ice. I might try and drive in snow but ice, no way.
Demon
You right selfish bastards!!!!!!

Send that wonderful weather here - now!
HelloKitty
Want some, want some! La La la! THINK SNOW!!!!!!!
bull
We got about 5-6 inches last night/this am. yucky.gif

The sledding was good, but the driving sucked.
Demon
Great!!!! Highs only in the low 20s this week and not a flake forecast. You selfish SOBs!!!!!!!
Felix4067
It started snowing here right on schedule around 3pm...and hasn't yet stopped four hours later. They keep wavering between predicting 3-5 inches and 8-10 inches by morning.

Thank gods where I'm working tomorrow is only 1.5 miles from home...but they don't have a loading dock (I'm hoping we'll get to do one truck at a time so they can pull it into the building).

I'll make my yearly offer...anyone live where it doesn't snow who wants to trade houses for a few months? icon_mrgreen.gif
HelloKitty
Think snow!!!!!
amandabobanda
We got our snow last week...but we might get another 15 cm (half a foot!!) this coming week. 7.gif Everything's just really icey right now. Driving on side streets was a fun experience. Step on the brake, but you're still going!! All you can do is hope there are no cars coming.

This is one of Vancouver's coldest winters in a while!! -10ish Celcius.
Ciggie
We're suppose to get some more by mid-week. Hope I get back to school safely.
twiztid
We don't actually have as much as we are supposed to have right now. Its been really mild here for the past little bit. This is all supposed to come to a halt though starting tonight as it is supposed to be -17 © tonight and make it to -24 by friday. The outdoor rink should get going again.
nfinitefx_
Heh, it started snowing here today, this winter we've already had around 2 feet of snow total. I think there is about 2 inches on the ground right now...probably be more in the morning :P Stupid lake...making a mess out of everything :P
Felix4067
Hm. Just watched the local news, and apparently it's not supposed to stop snowing until at least next week Tuesday. How...lovely. *sigh*
mbeeston
haha eat snow evil doer!
the_burner
Just got hit 3 times in a row, last one was 20cm. Now to add to the mixture, temp this morning is -33C and with wind chill -46C or about
-50F. Do not try anything cute outdoors today. It was freeze and snap off.
bull
The only bad part about the snow is the driving. We had ambulances and fire going out all damn night for cars in ditches. icon_confused.gif

used to work in the stuff mid summer in doors icon_cool.gif

Very helpful, that fellow. <makes note.>
Felix4067
You haven't lived until you've loaded out a concert in a freaken blizzard. Friday's temp estimate has gone from 30F to 22F, and only the gods know when it's going to stop snowing. Not a lot at once <averaging about 1-2 inches per hour>, but it won't freaking STOP!!!

Somebody shoot me, ok? Thanks.

BANG!!

Thanks VERY much, I needed that! icon_mrgreen.gif

Edit:
I TRULY needed that! The national weather service has just issued a blizzard warning essentially until further notice ("through this evening").

Guess I'm not going anywhere tonight, although I had plans. help.gif
Demon
A samll dusting this evening with more predicted for Thursday into Friday... come on blizzard!
marcus
I don't care about the snow that's coming, but the windchill is having us down to zero tonight.
Brrr
I wonder how cold it has to get before the snot in your nose freezes icon_eek.gif

I hate that I know this answer... help.gif

It only has to be below freezing, if you're outside for long enough. On a day like today, when it was 7F with a windchill of something like -18F, it's definitely cold enough, even if all you really did was walk out to get the mail.
Mister 4x4
Hmmm - bummer about the snow. It appears that I'm one of the few who welcomes it and is actually more than prepared for it - and stuck down here in the 'Land of 60 degree days.'

Seriously, when the snow and cold hit, I just lock the hubs, turn on the heater, keep the tow ropes handy, and tell the boss I may be a few minutes late - then go on 'ditch patrol' on the way to work. I generally make anywhere between $20-100 pulling people's cars back onto the road.

I love the snow.
Demon
Intervention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eric, you need to stop snorting the snow!!!!!!!!!

I can't be at just freezing. It's next to your warm skin and probably has warm air blowing over it.
It would take a few more degrees lower to even make it into a snowcone or slirpy.

That reminds me anyone ever see a cow blow his nose in the winter time?
Felix4067
It may be next to your warm skin, but every time you breathe in, you draw in freezing cold air. Trust me on this, I've had my nose freeze together more than once. icon_surprised.gif

Unless you mean completely frozen, like solid ice...I'm talking temporary, where it'll break apart again in a few minutes if you go in where it's warm.

And no, I've never seen a cow blow her nose <cows are female, bulls are male icon_wink.gif> in winter. Or summer, for that matter. icon_biggrin.gif

I know when it gets below 0 here and the wind makes it feel like 17 below, I don't like staying out more than 20ish mins. Any longer than that and it just gets really cold :P

I've been in and out, took some vacation time, did some flying.........waited for some new topics...you know the usual. Low profile........................Nice to be missed though. You know I wouldn't shoot Felix unless she asked, she's my buddy. I sure wish we had some snow down here... got down to 28 last night, but, alas...no white stuff. *sigh*

I love the snow.

When I was stationed in North Dakota, I worked with guys who did that all the time, owned Land Cruisers and big ropes, and made a small fortune every day going to and returning from work.
