Our parrots and cats-one inside cat-Abigail, and one feral outside guy-Timmy, that we have cared for and that lives in the yard for the last several years-caught once to take to vet, fixed, shots, and general check out, then released back in yard. BTW, Abby sleeps on the top of the parrot cages, and crew gets along with each other-in cages or not. As yet no munching, but still need to be alert unless dietary changes attempt to be made. A lot of work but fun!

Sadly, I had to put my cat Evelyn to sleep last December 22nd. Damn near killed me as I had her for 13 years and she was my best friend. After a little while I adopted again. This time a pure bred Siamese, Bea Shady, a Blue Lynx colour point. She is my baby also.

A favorite of mine are these guys-sea otters ... they like to play and have fun. They are very efficient hunters.

Sea and River Otters are great fun. They have one of the most dense furs on earth.
"The sea otters have two layers of fur. One is an outer fur, which is comprised of guard hairs, and these guard hairs actually knit together almost like a zipper in a way, as they lay back along the outer skin. So when they dive the fur lays along the body and actually forms almost a water tight barrier. The underfur is extraordinarily dense, very fine fur. And that's the fur that's able to trap air and hold it in close to the body so that the skin actually doesnt get wet. "
Sea Otter's watertight outer fur keeps it dry. And by working tiny bubbles into the space between their outer and under fur, the otter is able to insulate itself from the cold water.
"They'll actually blow bubbles in the water, work it in with their paws. Just their rolling action - their vigorous rolling action - while theyre grooming, catches air and gets into the deeper areas of the fur. So in essence, they look wet all the time, but right by their skin, and out for a significant distance from their skin and their underfur, it's completely dry. If you pull a Sea Otter out of the water whose fur is in good condition, in about thirty seconds theyll appear totally dry. It's quite amazing."

Have you seen the pps about the Australian fisherman and the female great white shark? He mistakenly caught her in a net and then released her. She actually follows him around, lets him "pet" her nose and belly and makes grunts when he rubs her tummy. She also slaps her fins on the water in joy/appreciation/gratification when he rubs her belly. I was totally shocked when I read this. I've searched snopes and other debunking pages and have found no mention of this. True or not, the pictures are amazing.
I did more research, being the natural skeptic that I am and I found this.
Hoax busted. Sorry guys.
