I recently got a nice keyboard with MIDI out options and soon I want to begin making and mixing my own tracks and the like. So, I need to get a few more things.

I was wondering if anyone has had any use or experience with a Synth Pad, namly a drum machine, something that has lots of options for creating really good beats. I've been looking at products from Yamaha and Roland, but i've never seen, heard or used any of them. I was just wondering if anyone might have any feild experience with this kind of equipment.
