Yeah, and I think George Carlin said the same exact stuff... along with Jesse Ventura, Ted Nugent, and Denis Leary as well... depending on who sent you the e-mail and where they heard it from.

Now, I'm not saying that what was written isn't cool and shouldn't be instilled back into the American persona (to some extent - some more than others).

But I don't think this can be credited to Andy Rooney, George Carlin, Jesse Ventura, Ted Nugent, or Denis Leary directly - although any one of them could've easily been heard saying those things. And I do recall Ted Nugent saying many very similiar things at a concert in San Antonio when he opened for KISS in March 2000.
