Yeah, thats right, I bought a router (finally). And it works perfectly, everything its supposed to do, especially the firewall. Yeah, sure, its great at keepin out hackers, but it also isolates me from the world. It won't let most games through, such as Counter Strike, Battlefield 1942, and Need for Speed Underground, etc. However, it does let Priston Tale and Diablo 2 through, along with the HTTP servers. I've tried enabling DMZ, Web Hosting, and self-defined ports. None of that would let anything through. My question is: How do I get Counterstrike to go through the firewall? I dont care about the firewall, I've never had much of a problem with hackers before (only been hacked once, by a clanmate, got kicked out for it.). But otherwise, i really dont care what the hackers do as long as it doesnt affect me or the computer (including software). The Firmware is already latest version (1.944) and my router serial no. is Axxxxx (you need that for specific info on it) I do not want:
A: Hardware solutions, I have no cash at the moment
B: Recommendations to new routers/switches
C: BS sites
D: Firmware up/down grades
All i want is configuration properties and/or software-related help.

Try resetting the router to defaults:

1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.8.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Enter the password admin in the password box - if you have changed the router's default administrator login, substitute it instead.
3. Click on the Administration link.
4. Click on the Reset to Default button. This should bring up a success window.
5. Click OK.
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.

I know you say you do not want to this, but the answer is D. I tried
Firmware 1.957 and it broke Counter-Strike, so I tried a few older
ones (from their ftp site) and found 1.76, 1.86, 1.89 work fine without
ANY tweaking. Maybe 1.913 works (the only one between 1.89
and 1.94 which you say does not work), but I'm sticking with 1.89.

its all my fault i dont know how to unzip the file

-Please unzip the EE400-R firmware file to *.UPG first before you can update your router.

- If you are using Motorola SB series or COM 21 cable modem and don't receive a WAN light, please download the EE400-R WAN Fix Serial no. Bxxxx firmware to fix the problem.

- Updating the Firmware of the router might cause the router to lose all settings. Make sure you write down all settings before upgrading firmware.

- IF your GigaFast or Non-GigaFast Router's Console Page is located at http://192.168.8.1 then download EE400-R.

- DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR ROUTER UNLESS YOU HAVE TO!

- GigaFast is not responsible for Non-GigaFast Brands RMA.

Have you tried winzip? http://www.winzip.com/

Thanks for posting this. I've been searching Google for a few days looking for the solution to these port forwarding problems I've been having with the GigaFast OEM router I have. A downgrade to firmware v.1.80 has fixed Battlefield for me. I suspect my Teamspeak server will also function properly again. I registered just to post a thanks here. So, thanks again!
