Whomever said that tweaking the settings for dsl didn't make a difference is nuts.

I was messing on Broadband Reports and ran a couple speed tests. I noticed that my kids computer was getting about 1200 down/1200 up and my computer was only doing 500/1200.

So I took the settings off their computer and gave it a go...

I had my dsl go down on sunday. They fixed it today and said a "burster" went out. He said that it was going in and out saturday. I hope that didn't cause my fluctuation of speeds. Have to check to see if the speeds hold over the next several days.

I was looking into that the other day and was wondering how to go about increasing mine too. You just took settings for other computers or did you try anything else? Just wondering....

I used settings all over the place. Just seemed that the defaults on my 2nd computer were the best, so I copied them to my computer and sure as shit, they made a nice improvement.
