My vote is for Stewart at Darlington for spinning out 2 people. Props to Andy Hillenburg for his gracious comments after his wreck, and a negative to Jeffy for complaining that he ran into a field filler.

Vote for Martinsville goes to the track for causing the frickin long delay that made me miss the end of the race. You'd think they could have repaved it before, instead of after like the plan is...

Ruttman is great. That team gets more money per lap then the winners do. Besides he made it in on speed for Martinsville while MW and Cope didn't.

I'm gonna go with Stewart as well, any other track I wouldn't cause it seems like Busch came down into him, you have to be more careful at restrictor plate tracks though.

I have to put 2 votes in this week:
1. Newman - Seemed like they had issues the entire race and finally blew up with under 10 to go.
2. J. Gordon - Can you really miss the setup THAT bad? He was more like a field filler out there.

even Busch behaved himself...
Mister 4x4
Jun 14 2004, 05:27 PM
Yeah - I saw that, but even bofore his interview, I already knew he'd had a problem with the car. If you noticed the on-board cam when he hit the brakes, the shook from side to side before bashing Waltrip - that's Rusty pumping the crap out of the pedal with no success.
Tough one this week folks. But I think we're got a handle on it... despite the fact that nobody here has voted.

Oh. My. Gawd. I cannot believe how f00ked up NASCAR's qualifying rules are. You take someone with the name, credentials, and ability of Kerry Earnhardt, and you'd expect to see him able to qualify for the race, right? Wrong. A new, field-filler, who will most likely be parking his car after the 3rd or 4th lap will be running the race instead.
Kerry Earnhardt's qual speed: 185.242
Kirk Shelmerdine: 177.646 - but he has some provisional points so he makes the cut.
Dave Blaney didn't even post a qualifying speed (probably wrecked or something) and is the first provisional qualifier!
It's going to be tough this week... although I'm pretty sure Shelmerdine will get it if he doesn't last more than 10 laps this time.
Whatta bunch of bullsh!t.

It was nice to see Blaney in the top 20 for wrecking in quals. Don't really know who to vote for this week. Possibly to the gordon boys. One for spinning like crazy on the first lap, and the other for his team giving him a car that would be dominant but would blow up.
