Next week ( one week from yesterday) , my wife , daughter and I will all pack into a room on the Holiday cruise ship. It is one of Carnival's oldest ships but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. Now sharing a room with her dad and mom, that she minds. She thinks she is going to see a lot of hotties. I think they will be my age or older. 5 days going to Cozumel and Playa de Carmen. Leaving out of New Orleans. Thought about driving down there but Southwest had a $70 special. My Suburban would use that much gas almost so we will fly. Only takes an hour that way. Much easier. I think this might have been the same route that Headless Chicken took but different line. I'll see if I can score some pics . But if anyone misses me ( not likely) that's where I'll be next week.

Hope you all to have a great trip.....

Have a great trip Doc.

Cozumel is awesome. If possible go on the passion island day trip. You go to a private island and beach. And have a great trip.

Oooh, cruises!! Carnival's usually known for the younger, partying crowd. I am sure you'll have a great time and eat some awesome food!!

But just tell your daughter to be careful of the crew members. They are lonely and raring to go!!

Have fun!!

I'll be doing the exact same cruise in October, except it leaves out of Mobile. Let me know how it goes, and what to see and do, when you get back, Doc. Have a great trip.

Take a compass, so you can tell if the ship gets high-jacked and heads for the Empire State Building. icon_arrow.gif

Opps, I meant to say have a nice trip. (Darn Meds) I don't want on a boat, I can't swim that well, keeping feet on land is for me. I spent 23 hours in a Boeing 707, twice, that's enough travel to last my lifetime. Enjoy! cocky.gif

Well, how was it? icon_mrgreen.gif

Pictures and story to come shortly. A great adventure to be sure. thumbup1.gif

Pictures slow to come because my daughter is negociating their release ( i.e. she is editing them). We had a great time. Over much too quick. SHe found a handsome man to occupy her time ( until 3 am every night) and I got some R & R. Wife mostly worried about daughter. Turns out the young man was very nice , however quite a bit older. She didn't ask his age until the last day ( I know why) . But we thought mid 20's. Turns out he was 30. Graduated from college , works as a marine ecologist. He was nice though. Just socializing. No contact. Dancing and talking. I think when he found out how old she was he backed off quite a bit. But I met him and he really was a nice man , but way too old for her and she knew it. But is was someone to hang with. She also became friendly with a 27 year old girl who was on the TV show "The Bachelor" . I think my daughter was the more mature of that duo. But she was hotttttttt. Uhhhh , someone told me that. cocky.gif

Sounds like it was a fantastic trip icon_biggrin.gif

OK , a few pics have come forward. First is a picture of my wife and daughter just before embarking on the ship.

The next pic is of the market place waiting for the ship to allow boarding. Plenty of places to eat.

Next up is a picture of part of the Mayan ruins ( my wife visible here)

My daughter enjoying one of many meals onboard

This is Sarah relaxing in the room ( we shared )

Now she is doing Kareoke ( sorry about the photo , too dark and had to lighten it)

Our ship in the front , the Royal Carribean ship behind it. After sesing the bigger boat we thought we were on a tug boat.

Finally a picture from New Orleans: street person posing as a statue. Must be a very hard job to stand there motionless all day and hot too:

Pinkish creatures. Symetrical, two arms, two legs. icon_smile.gif

I was asking about my wife and I.
Aladoc
Yes it would be quite fun for a couple.
