Hmmm - looks like I missed a couple weeks here. Oh well, not like anyone's made any comments or anything. Grrr.
Here's a few to make up for it - my favorites for Four Wheeler Magazine's 2004 Top Truck Challenge:

Actually, BK should be interested in the white S-10 Blazer up top of that last post.
Here's linkage to their site:

I wonder if the guy that owns the White Knight realizes just how cool his rig looks.
Oh well - here's this week's pic:

Oh frabjuous day!

Yeah, been following the development of the White Knight for several years now. Crazy vehicle, I'd like to see them go to TTC.
Looks like Toby got a little nuts with the tube bender. .Great rigs so far.
Now setup my FTP on your site if you would, so I can upload some <unless you know a better place to host?>

I was hoping to show a picture of Toby Blazer 'wheels up' in Moab, but Four Wheeler Magazine hasn't got the pics up online yet.
So, here's something completely different:

How's that for "flexy?"

yeah that last rig is pretty awesome- it's actually got a rotating joint between the two sections with a hydraulic actuator so the driver can make it do exactly what it's doing. This isn't just for show-- it's very useful in difficult terrain to force the vehicle to articulate. It does make for more difficult operation, though

DAYAM! I'm impressed! That last pic ... wow! I wonder, is his frame now completely warped? I'd love to know how the hell he did that!

Rotating coupler in the middle of the chassis. The driveshaft pushes through the center of it. It's like having a pintle hook in the middle of two vehicles each with a drive axle.

Eric- I saw the pics of Toby's Blazer upside down in the hot tubs on Lion's Back- and the caption saying he pretty much destroyed it. I know how these guys can over-exagerate- what actually broke?

Cosmetic damage - the body looks like ass now. But the big stuff was one of the driveshafts came apart (slip-joint) and pole-vaulted somehow... when it did, it ripped the tranny in half. A TH400 - ripped in half. Crazy, huh?

WOW-- that's freaky.
With all we put our driveshafts through, I'm definitely going to build a safety loop around each shaft, front and rear. I'm just kinda paranoid about my rear shaft popping the transfer case end loose and pole-vaulting the entire truck.

yeah- I've got gigs of pics
just need to find a place to host 'em
EDIT: would prefer it have a web interface sorta like Webshots-- anyone know of any such that allow linking of the images to external pages?

well that's very flattering-- but your readers wouldn't be interested in my junk.
My user icon is sorta what mine looks like-- if you put a half-completed front bumper on it, and faded-out paint and dents in the doors.
Check out the rigs on Naxja.org-- plenty of better jeeps out there.
