Ok I have a new... errrr old laptop I just got from my sister... it has no model or ethernet card... so I was woundering internetsharing... can that be done over a parallel port??? the lap top is 98 se and my other computers are XP and Linux...

Can only do direct connect with a crossover cable via serial. Buy a NIC, they are cheap.

Does it have a PCMCIA slot? If so, pick up a Linksys Ether-Anywhere (or equivalent) card. That's how my Compaq Proliant 1621 (AMD 233) gets on my network.
